Contact
Once you have contacted us to explain your staffing needs, we can review any applicants we have that may be suitable for you. We do have applications to work in New Zealand all year round, however, we encourage employers to get in touch as early as possible with their needs so we can see if there are any suitable matches. With a large social media following, we can get maximum exposure for your job opportunity. Paperwork & Interviews
All our applicants are interviewed and reference checked by us, however, we strongly recommend an employer conducting their own interview with a candidate to chat through the role. Once you are happy, and you can deliver a job contract we will assist our candidates in booking their flights, sorting visas, and any other paperwork. An employer does not have to cover any costs of visas and flights and once the job contract has been sent, AG Work NZ handles the rest! With candidates coming from Universities and Colleges, as well as straight from the family farm, AG Work NZ thoroughly vet all candidates for their suitability for your role. We work with skilled candidates ranging from milking assistants to tractor drivers, to combine and forager operators! Introduction
We facilitate the candidate’s arrival and settlement process. This may include airport pickup, escorting the candidate to onward internal travel, or – where more convenient – supporting travel arrangements to the employer’s nearest international airport. AG Work will ensure that all necessary information is clearly communicated to all parties.
We also manage IRD setup and assist candidates with opening a bank account. Each candidate receives an AG Work welcome pack, which includes a SIM card and information on New Zealand road safety.
These steps are designed to ease the transition for both the employer and the candidate, ensuring the new team member is prepared, settled, and ready to begin work.

Work Begins
All candidates are picked up from our Cambridge base in the Waikato, with easy links to Hamilton Airport. We can facilitate onward travel to their final destination to meet you if needed. Full pastoral support is provided for the candidates and employers in the first month, and AG Work NZ is a constant reassuring presence in the background if candidates or employers have any issues. We fully support our candidates with adjusting and integrating to life in New Zealand and work closely with our employers to ensure all candidates have a successful working holiday.
